Paying homage to 6 decades of molding students’ minds and changing tllives, Corcuera National High School will celebrate its 60th founding anniversary come February 2, 2020. At the center of it is student empowerment as the school’s Officer-in-Charge, Lordiel Faderagao tapped the Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences (Agila Production) to take the lead in the preparation.
Equipped editors like Cyril Ann Fronda, Eden Grace Falculan and Krizel Fajiculay are occupied by their laptops as photos and videos from the photoshoot of the candidates for the search for Diamond King and Queen rush in and are to be used on the night of February 2, when we shall find out CorNaHis’ Diamond King and Queen 2020.
Updates for the upcoming celebration are then posted on their official Facebook page- Cornahis News Channel.
“I know from the start that it is difficult and tiring. But despite of that, I’m really thankful because I know that it will help us to improve our skills when it comes to editing.” Meljean Andrade, a HUMSS student said in an interview with Deep Limits.
Bernie Fallurin, chairman of the event, said that the committee wanted to come up with a systematic execution of events and more surprises. And fair enough, for the first time in the school’s history, a tribute for the stakeholders will be held on the night of February 1st. Individuals who helped CNHS be where it is now, will be given recognition and “Premyo Anibersaryo Raffle” will also be one of the highlights on the said night.
The craze that is the Tala Dance Challenge has also reached the grounds of CNHS as different teams will be competing for the most coveted prize on the anniversar’s kick-off on January 27.
It is good, however, to have something familiar, something that has become a tradition. When the sun sets on February 2, 14 candidates will be vying for the crown and title of Diamond King and Queen 2020. “Nakakakaba po kasi first time ko sumali. Magagaling po silang lahat.” Lyka Maderazo stated when asked about the pageant and her fellow candidates.
As for Faderagao, he already envisions this to be a success knowing he has a competent team behind him that can deliver.
