Isolated rains will prevail over most parts of the country due to the tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern section of southern Luzon and Visayas, and the northeast monsoon affecting the rest of Luzon, the weather bureau said Sunday.
The tail-end of a cold front will cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Samar. There may be flash floods during severe thunderstorms in these areas, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Aurora, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, strong winds will blow over northern Luzon, the eastern section of Luzon and of Visayas. Coastal waters along these areas will be rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be moderate to strong with moderate to rough seas, PAGASA said. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
