The proposed wage increase for workers in the MIMAROPA (Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan) is now in the final review stage by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), led by Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma, announced this following its Year-End Assessment.
According to Secretary Laguesma, the Board's decision on the wage adjustment may be released before the end of December 2024.
However, Laguesma declined to disclose the exact amount of the wage increase for the two regions.
