In preparation for Tropical Storm Man-Yi, which will be named as “Pepito” once it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), Montenegro Shipping Lines has suspended trips on all routes in Romblon.
The temporary halt, beginning November 14 and extending until further notice, allows vessels to shelter safely as the storm approaches. Key routes affected by this suspension include Odiongan to Batangas and San Agustin to Lucena City, Quezon.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Tropical Storm Man-Yi is expected to enter PAR tonight or early Friday morning.
Forecasts indicate that Man-Yi could strengthen significantly over the Philippine Sea, with a possibility of reaching typhoon intensity. PAGASA has not ruled out the chance of Man-Yi escalating into a super typhoon before making landfall, underscoring the need for preparedness and caution.
Local authorities and residents are urged to monitor updates from PAGASA and adhere to safety advisories.
