The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) recently distributed PHP 3,000 to P5,000 in financial assistance to 1,700 Odiongan, Romblon residents as part of the agency’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program.
On Tuesday, Odiongan Vice Mayor Diven Dimaala led the distribution of aid totaling PHP 3 million, which was provided to residents experiencing financial difficulties.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Social Welfare and Development for responding to my request to provide assistance to 1,000 Odionganons in need,” Dimaala stated.
On Wednesday, Odiongan Mayor Trina Firmalo-Fabic led the distributed of P5,000 in financial aid to 700 Odiongan residents.
The AICS program aims to offer immediate financial relief to individuals and families facing crises, such as medical emergencies, natural disasters, or other unforeseen challenges.
