Odiongan Mayor Trina Firmalo-Fabic has announced that the local government will soon enforce an ordinance that holds parents accountable for allowing their underage children to ride motorcycles.
This decision follows a recent accident involving a young rider who was not of legal driving age.
During the flag-raising ceremony at the Odiongan municipal hall on September 16, Mayor Fabic stressed that the initiative aims to curb road accidents involving minors.
In a clarification sent to Romblon News Network, Mayor Fabic explained that an existing one was already approved during her second term.
The mayor is now pushing for its strict implementation.
