MIMAROPA is among the safest regions in the country, the Police Regional Office (PRO) MIMAROPA reported.
During the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas today, August 6, in Calapan City, it was reported that based on nationwide crime statistics of the Philippine National Police, the MIMAROPA region is among the top 3 regions with the lowest crime incidents from January 01 to June 30, 2024.
Meanwhile, from June 30, 2022 to July 30, 2024, PRO MIMAROPA recorded a total peace and order indicators (POI) of 8,508 wherein 8,458 cases were cleared reflecting a sustained total crime clearance efficiency rating of 99.41 percent.
Of the overall POIs, 5,721 cases were solved with a crime solution efficiency rating of 67.24 percent.
This accomplishment of PRO MIMAROPA was attributed to the effective conduct of police interventions of all police units in the region through enhanced management of police operations.
In the same period, PRO MIMAROPA apprehended a total of 4,856 wanted persons under the campaign against wanted persons, 1,265 of them are most wanted while 3,591 are other wanted persons.
To ensure the peace and order of the entire region, the PRO MIMAROPA, through the leadership of Regional Director Police Brigadier General Roger L. Quesada, deployed more than 6,000 PNP personnel to five provincial police offices and one city police office.
