The Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Romblon is set to open its new LTO Extension Office in Barangay Poblacion, San Agustin, Romblon, on Thursday, August 22.
This new office will provide greater access to LTO services for residents of San Agustin, Calatrava, Santa Maria, and nearby islands.
In an interview with PIA Romblon, LTO Romblon Chief Jocelyn Rillo stated that the new San Agustin office will offer the same services currently available at the LTO District Office in Odiongan. These include driver’s license applications, vehicle registration, and other essential LTO services.
The office will be managed by an officer-in-charge and will operate under the umbrella of the LTO Romblon District Office.
LTO Regional Director Eduardo De Guzman during the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas last June said that this initiative is part of the LTO’s efforts to make its services more accessible to the public in remote areas of the province.
