Public schools in the province of Romblon are prepared for the resumption of classes on Monday for the new school year.
Schools Division Superintendent Roger Capa informed PIA Romblon that all schools are 100% ready, based on the School Readiness Assessment Tool.
Romblon has 217 public elementary schools and 51 public secondary schools.
Capa noted that schools are currently conducting Brigada Eskwela to clean and prepare for the school year, especially following recent flooding that affected some schools.
According to Capa, the floods have subsided and only minor damages were reported.
“In case of flooding before the school opening, we will implement alternative delivery modes such as modular learning,” Capa added.
The Department of Education has also set up Oplan Balik Eskwela booths with command centers to provide immediate virtual assistance to the public. These centers will handle queries, concerns, complaints, and clarifications about the school opening.
