Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Romblon is set to celebrate MSME Week 2024 from June 9-12, with a series of activities aimed at empowering local entrepreneurs through digitalization and cybersecurity. This year’s theme, “Innovate to Elevate MSMEs,” focuses on integrating advanced tools and knowledge to help MSMEs thrive in the digital age.
The planned activities for MSME Week 2024 include seminars on using the Canva AI tool, secure digital payment systems, cybersecurity, and a forum on using POS systems and entering online platforms.
Highlight of the series of forums is the cybersecurity seminar which is needed today by MSMEs to avoid falling victim to scams, similar to those that targeted restaurants and food delivery services in Odiongan last year.
Provincial Director Orville Mallorca has extended an invitation to all Micro-, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in the province to participate in the scheduled seminars and forums.
He encourages MSMEs to take advantage of these opportunities to innovate and adapt to modern technologies.
