The Social Security System (SSS) Odiongan spearheaded a “Run After Contribution Evaders” operation targeting five delinquent employers in Odiongan, Romblon on Tuesday morning, April 30.
According to Maria Ammie Candelaria, acting head of SSS Odiongan, the event was organized to coincide with the nationwide Labor Day celebration the following day.
The initiative aimed to remind employers of their responsibilities to remit contributions for their employees.
SSS Executive Vice President for Branch Operations Sector Voltaire P. Agas announced earlier that SSS would issue violation notices to delinquent employers nationwide as part of a synchronized RACE operation, highlighting the legal consequences of failing to remit employees’ contributions.
This event, dubbed “Alay ng SSS para sa mga Manggagawa – Serbisyong Mapagkakatiwalaan at Proteksyong Maaasahan,” underscores SSS’ dedication to ensuring reliable service and dependable protection for workers.
“We want to assure our members that SSS will take action and penalize employers who fail to register their employees or have not deducted and remitted their contributions,” Agas emphasized.
Agas reaffirmed SSS’ commitment to guaranteeing that all Filipino workers have access to social security benefits during emergencies.
