Personnel from the San Agustin Municipal Police Station took the lead in organizing an outreach program aimed at assisting members of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
In an interview with PIA Romblon, Police Executive Master Sergeant Rey Fetalco of the San Agustin PNP stated that the program was conducted in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Municipal Social Welfare Development Office of San Agustin.
Approximately 50 4Ps beneficiaries received food packs designed to sustain them for at least two days.
During a brief program, the San Agustin PNP actively interacted with participants, emphasizing municipal ordinances and launching a campaign on crime prevention.
Fetalco emphasized the importance of this type of outreach program, stating that it is crucial for providing support and knowledge to the beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection shared valuable safety tips, focusing on fire prevention strategies to enhance the safety and well-being of the beneficiaries.
The Municipal Social Welfare Development Office also utilized the opportunity to educate attendees about pre-marriage counseling services and other essential resources available to support the welfare of the community.
