The Tablas Island Electric Cooperative (TIELCO) unveiled its online payment system today, September 25, in collaboration with Globe GCash and ECPay.
During a press conference held at TIELCO’s main office in Odiongan, General Manager Dennis Alag announced that members can now conveniently settle their statements of accounts for the current month through various ECPay payment channels such as Gcash and Palawan Pay.
According to Alag, with the new online payment platform, members no longer need to make physical visits to the TIELCO office in Odiongan solely for bill payments.
ECPay’s Marketing Manager, Marine Malabanan, also shared that they have successfully enrolled over 200 sari-sari stores throughout Romblon province to become ECPay partners. These partners will be authorized to accept ECPay transactions from their respective barangays, including payments for TIELCO bills.
To ensure the security and efficiency of online transactions, additional security measures have been implemented, guaranteeing real-time processing of payments by TIELCO.
The introduction of TIELCO’s online payment system comes approximately four years after the official launch of their Mobile Application, which is available for download on Google Playstore.
General Manager Alag said that this continued digital transformation signifies TIELCO’s commitment to providing its members with accessible and convenient payment options.
