Governor Jose Riano of Romblon is advocating for resort owners, hotels, and other stakeholders in the province’s tourism sector to use tourLISTA, a collaborative initiative between the Department of Tourism (DOT) Mimaropa and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Mimaropa.
Riano made this call during the 3rd Provincial Tourism Council meeting held in Romblon.
He emphasized the significance of data collection, especially concerning tourist arrivals in Romblon, which is rapidly emerging as tourist destination in the Philippines.
By encouraging local tourism establishments to use tourLISTA, Governor Riano aims to enhance Romblon’s tourism industry by providing stakeholders with the necessary insights to make informed decisions.
The Governor highlighted that gathering accurate data on tourist arrivals is crucial, as it helps determine the province’s potential for additional sea and air routes.
