The MIMAROPA Regional Development Council (RDC) has given its full endorsement to the Romblon Wind Turbine Project, a significant renewable energy initiative set to take place in the municipality of Concepcion.
The said project holds particular significance as Concepcion is classified as a Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Area (GIDA).
The proposal, put forth by the National Electrification Administration (NEA), will also receive support from the Government of Japan under Non-Project Grant Aid.
With a planned capacity of 60kW, the Romblon Wind Turbine Project aims to harness the power of wind energy as a sustainable source of electricity.
The undertaking is scheduled to be completed within eight months, contingent upon approval and endorsement from the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
