A mild earthquake that initially registered at magnitude 2.8 in Odiongan on Wednesday evening, May 24, has been upgraded to a magnitude of 3.5 by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) on Thursday night.
According to PHIVOLCS, the epicenter of the earthquake was located approximately 17 kilometers southwest of Odiongan, Romblon.
The earthquake was reported to have reached Intensity II in Odiongan and Looc, and Intensity III in Ferrol.
While no significant damages or aftershocks have been reported following the earthquake, PHIVOLCS continues to monitor the situation for any potential changes or developments.
