The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in the Mimaropa region officially launched the Listahanan 3 database in the province of Romblon on Thursday, May 18.
Listahanan 3 or the Listahanan Third Round Assessment is a comprehensive database that contains profiles of the poor and other relevant statistics, serving as a valuable tool for national and local government agencies in providing social services.
The event, held at Simple Living Hotel in Odiongan, Romblon, was attended by representatives from various national government agencies and local government agencies.
In his message, DSWD Mimaropa Regional Director Leonardo Reynoso encouraged local government units, and national gov’t agencies to have a Data-Sharing Agreement with the DSWD to access the Listahanan Data.
“This regional launching activity signifies that we are in the DSWD is open for partnership through our standard Data-Sharing Agreement,” according to Reynoso. The DSWD Mimaropa is expecting that all local government units in the province will have a Data-Sharing Agreement with their agency.
The launch of Listahanan 3 in Romblon is a significant step towards strengthening the implementation of social welfare programs in the province.
“Today we are launching the latest regional profile of the poor that contains the statistics per household in Mimaropa Region. This will serve as our reference and guide in the implementation of social protection programs and services to those who need them most,” he added.
