The Municipality of Odiongan and the Provincial Government of Romblon will be the host for this year’s Regional Children’s Congress and Celebration of the National Children’s Month this coming November 24.
The event to be held at Odiongan Public Plaza was organized by the Regional Sub-Committee for the Welfare of Children Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan).
Representatives from the regional offices of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Department of Interior and Local Government, RSCWC Mimaropa, and the Philippine Information Agency together with about 250 participants are expected to grace the event.
During the one-day event, Governor Jose Riano is expected to read his Children’s State Report, and will also lead the awarding of the Seal of Child-friendly Local Governance to selected municipalities in the province.
