98 passengers bound for Sibuyan Island are currently stranded in the town of San Agustin in Tablas Island, Romblon due to Tropical Storm Paeng.
Philippine Coast Guard Romblon said that as of 5 a.m. on Friday, all trips in the province were canceled.
San Agustin MDRRMO Giovanni Fondevilla told PIA Romblon in an interview that stranded passengers were Covered Court for temporary shelter.
The local government of San Agustin also sends food for passengers’ breakfast and lunch.
In its 2 p.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that San Agustin town is currently under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2.
