Alpha Phi Omega, an international fraternity and sorority founded in the ideals of Leadership, Friendship and Service brought home an award in recognition to their relentless efforts of serving the people and the community during the Remarkable Youth Recognition of Online SDG Youth Action Forum’s Baliktanaw 2020 on Thursday, December 30.
Under the Remarkable Youth Initiative Category, OSYAF recognizes the “Kalinga ng APO Project, a COVID-19 Quick response, the project was launched weeks after the nationwide lockdown was imposed, the group donated Personal Protective Equipments (PPE’s) to medical frontliners in hospitals and rural health units, washable and disposable facemasks, faceshields and foot baths to mention a few. APO also donated coupon bonds to selected elementary and high schools in the province of Marinduque as part of the Kalinga ng APO Project.
“Sayawitan Ng Kabataan Para Sa Inang Kalikasan” a benefit concert project of Alpha Phi Omega as their pledge in helping Marinduque State College build its College Chapel, coinciding was a coastal clean-up, tree hugging and bird watching at the second day of the momentous event.
#Baliktanaw 2020 of the Online SDG Youth Action Forum is a lookback of Filipino youth action in 2020 to recognize various remarkable Filipino youth leaders, youth organizations, initiatives, collaborations and actions that have contributed to the attainment of SDG-related initiatives to the youth and welcome the new year with unity and hope.
