In order to equip micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) in Romblon, the Department of Trade and Industry on Tuesday, December 17, formally launched its Shared Service Facility (SSF) in Barangay Budiong in Odiongan town.
The said SSF will house the P900,000 worth automated embroidery machine procured by the department for the members of Creative Hands Association of Romblon (CHAR).
DTI Provincial Director Noel DR. Flores led the turnover ceremony together with Odiongan mayor Trina Firmalo-Fabic.
According to Director Flores, the new facilities and equipment will give additional job and will increase the productivity and income of the members of Creative Hands Association of Romblon.
“We hope this helps our MSMEs. Let’s just avoid quarreling within the association so that our facility will not get into trouble. The DTI is willing to support you as long as we are here,” Flores added.
Shared Service Facility is a project of the Department of Trade and Industry being implemented nationwitde with project partners termed as cooperators, such as oganizations, cooperatives, assocations, or LGUs.
