To equip the beneficiaries with knowledge and skills in the implementation of their livelihood projects, DOLE Romblon conducted Entrepreneurial Development Training at Haliwood Hotel, Odiongan, Romblon on September 23, 2019 and Corcuera, Romblon on September 25-26, 2019.
Sixty-seven livelihood beneficiaries participated the said trainings and were taught on organizational management, production, marketing and financial management.
The first training in Odiongan was attended by 35 participants from Odiongan Tri-bike Operators and Drivers Association (Retail of Motorcycle Spare parts), Odiongan Massage and Spa (Massage Clinic), Solar Sigcop (Retail of Solar Lamps), and Samahan ng Nagkakaisang Kasapi ng Barangay Association (Dressed Native Chicken Production).
Thirty participants from Corcuera NHS Parents Association (School Canteen Management and Catering Services), Mabini NHS Parents Association (School Canteen Management with Catering Services and Bakery), Labnig PWLR Association (Rice Retail) and 2 individuals with Ice Cream and Puto production projects attended the second training held in Corcuera.
The Department of Labor and Employment has been assisting workers association in establishing their livelihood undertakings. The said associations were provided by DOLE with working capital in the form of raw materials, equipment, tools and jigs to start their livelihood.
