President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday blasted a lady senator who he said was allegedly linked to the illegal drug trade and called her “adulterer” and “immoral.”
In his speech at the Philippine National Police (PNP) 115th anniversary celebrations in Camp Crame, the President said the lady senator in question has been complaining about the death rate and human rights violations in his all-out campaign against drugs.
“And here is a senator complaining when, one day I will tell you that her driver, who was her lover was the one also collecting money for her during the campaign,” he said.
“Here is an immoral woman, flaunting, well of course in so far as wife of the driver was concerned, its adultery. Here is a woman who funded the house of her lover and yet we do not see any complaint about it. Those money came readily from her. The intercept between Muntinlupa and the driver were far beyond making sure that somebody was involved,” Duterte said.
“But in fairness, I would never state here that the driver gave the money to her but by the looks of it, she has it. Yan ang pahirap dito e namumulitika, posturing when you yourself has a very sordid personal unofficial life,” he added.
Duterte said the senator has investigated him in the past for human rights violations during his stint as Davao City mayor.
“I will show to you. I have the CD when she first investigated me in Davao for human rights violation. Before entering the hotel lobby she said I will prove that Duterte is connected with the DDS — Davao death squad. Until now she keeps on yakking and has forgotten the tape which I have recorded,” he said.
“I would like her to eat it in her presence but I could not do it because it is not an accepted edible food for human beings,” Duterte said. (Cielito M. Reganit/PNA)
