The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said Saturday night that it had activated its Quick Response Teams (QRTs) in its different field offices to respond immediately among the affected families by the heavy downpour caused by the Southwest Monsoon.
As of 6 p.m, DSWD’s QRT in National Capital Region (NCR), Regions I, II, III, IV-A (CALABARZON) and IV-B (MIMAROPA) have activated its QRTs to mark their readiness to augment, if needed the local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council in responding to the needs of families affected.
Likewise, disaster teams from the DSWD Disaster Response and Management Bureau (DReamB) have been deployed in the Central Office and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) operations center to monitor the impact of Habagat.(PNA)
