A 60-year-old self-employed woman from Odiongan, Romblon, has claimed the ₱17,567,700.60 jackpot prize from the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw held on July 8, 2024.
She won the prize with a lucky pick combination of 36 – 25 – 19 – 37 – 07 – 11.
The winner, who has been a loyal lotto player for nearly five years, collected her winnings on July 29, 2024, at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Main Office in Mandaluyong.
Expressing her gratitude, she shared that she intends to use the prize for savings, travel, and new business ventures. She emphasized her long-standing belief in luck and her consistent lotto play.
“Since before, I believed in luck. When I have spare change, I play the lotto because it’s better to have something to hope for. I am very thankful, first of all, to God for granting us this blessing, and to PCSO for truly giving hope,” according to her.
To claim lotto prizes, winners are required to sign the back of their winning ticket, present two valid government IDs for verification, and pay a 20% tax on prizes exceeding ₱10,000.00 as mandated by the TRAIN Law. Under Republic Act No. 1169, winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prize at the PCSO Main Office.
