The local government unit (LGU) of Odiongan has been recognized for its outstanding nutrition programs and initiatives. During the 2023 Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony, held at the Swiss-Belhotel Blulane in Manila, the LGU received the award “Green Banner Seal of Compliance.”
This award is the highest recognition given to LGUs for their effective contributions to nutrition programs.
Also, Nijel David, the Municipal Nutrition Action Officer, was acknowledged as the 1st Runner Up in the Search for the 2023 Outstanding City/Municipal Nutrition Action Officer.
Meanwhile, Mary Ann Fabro from Barangay Tulay received the 2nd Runner Up award in the Search for the 2023 Regional Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar.
The Odiongan Public Information Office expressed that these awards stand as a testament to the town’s dedication and success in the field of nutrition programs.
Odiongan Mayor Trina Firmalo-Fabic was represented by Councilor Kit Firmalo and MPDC Alexander Foja.
