Twelve presidential aspirants and three for the vice-presidential post filed their certificates of candidacy (COC) at the Harbor Garden Tent of Sofitel Philippine Plaza in Pasay City on Monday.
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso of Aksyon Demokratiko was joined by independent bets Sonny Boy Andrade, Juanita Trocenio, Alfredo Respuesto, Gabriela Larot, Maria Mercedes Pesigan, Delia Aniñon, Renato Valera, Melchor “Kidlat” Puno, Winston Kayanan; Katipunan’s Faisal Mangondato; and Philippine Green Republican Party’s (PGRP) Leo Cadion.
The three aspirants for Vice President are Carlos Serapio, Katipunan; Aksyon’s Willie Ong, who is Domagoso’s runningmate; and Cadion partner Princess Sushine Amirah Magdangal.
Since the start of the filing period on October 1, the PRGP has completed its senatorial roster, composed of Guzman Claro, Roberto Aniceto Jr., Maria Lourdes Santiago, Edgar Miranda, Rosita Maura Delos Angeles, Jigger ND Pitos, Eleazar Calampiano, Bobby Francisco, Pedro Austria, Florencio Carlos, Anthony Castro, and Mario Mangco.
Independent aspirants Narciso Solis, Junbert Guigayuma, and Jennet “Genie” Tam, and Katipunan’s Marietta Mindalano-Adam are also seeking senatorial seats.
Ten party-list groups also submitted their Certificates of Nomination and Acceptance and list of nominees: Ang Koalisyon ng Indigenous People, Marvelous Tayo, Alagaan ng Sambayanang Pilipino, Gabriela, Aasenso, Ako’y Tech Voc, Alalayang Kuya at Ate sa Pilipinas, Truck Drivers Philippines, Inc., Ipatupad for Workers, and Aangat Kusinerong Pinoy.
