The mayor of the town of Looc in Romblon called on the public especially the residents of the neighboring town to stop discriminating against them.
On a Facebook post, Monday, mayor Arboleda said that she hopes the public will have a mindset that Covid-19 is not only in Looc.
The mayor added that it is more painful to hear discrimination against her fellow.
She also asked Loocnons to remain calm and understand the restrictions imposed by other towns and said that she will probably do the same if the situation is reversed to protect her town.
As of Monday, the town currently has 28 Covid-19 active cases and around 65 families are on quarantine due to exposure to the virus.
