Congressman Eleandro Madrona provided tools for faster testing and contact tracing to towns in the province with high Covid-19 cases.
On Wednesday, the towns of Odiongan and Alcantara received antigen test kits and High Accuracy iChroma II COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Testing Machine, which has a higher accuracy rate in detecting Covid-19 than the standard rapid diagnostic equipment.
Meanwhile, the Looc local government recently received also the aforementioned equipment which they used during the mass testing at the Public Market and Municipal Hall.
In an interview with Romblon News Network with Mayor Lisette Arboleda, she said that from the beginning when the town recorded the first local case, Congressman Madrona was already guiding the LGU.
“I’m very thankful because, since day 1, he’s the one I call right away. He didn’t leave us alone in all aspects. He calls every day and finds out what we still need,” said the mayor.
She was also thankful to all non-government organizations and local government units including the provincial government led by Governor Jose Riano for the assistance given to Loocnons during this time.
