Romblon province on Sunday registered 6 new Covid-19 cases, according to the updates released by the local governments of Looc, Odiongan, and Sta. Fe.
Three of these new cases are authorized persons outside their residence (APORs) who are close contacts of Case No. 005, who initially tested positive on Rapid Antigen Test upon arrival on March 26, and has been confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 28.
Their team has been in isolation since their arrival in Odiongan last March 26.
Another patient from Odiongan is a 50-year old female health worker from Barangay Gabawan. She tested positive for Covid-19 on April 4.
She is also now in isolation at a government facility.
Meanwhile, Looc’s new case is a 37-year old male who was admitted at Don Modesto Formilleza Sr. Memorial Hospital on March 30.
The remaining patient who tested positive today came from Santa Fe, Romblon, and currently admitted at Romblon Provincial Hospital.
Local Government Units in these three towns are currently conducting contact tracing to identify close-contacts of the patients.
According to the data from the three LGU and from the Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (PESU) as of Sunday evening, Romblon province now has 38 Covid-19 active cases.
The PESU also recorded today one new recovery.
