Five men were arrested in Odiongan, Romblon for holding an illegal cockfight activity or “tupada” which is among the activities prohibited under Resolution No. 103 issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).
The suspects were identified as Jireh Manzo, Rene Manrique, Oscar Fababaeir, Christian Reyes, and Ramie Gabayno.
According to Romblon Police Provincial Office Spox Gemie Mallen, the suspects were arrested by operatives from Odiongan Municipal Police Station and Romblon Provincial Mobile Force Company in Sito Canlabha, Barangay Libertad.
Recovered from the suspects were fighting cocks, and tari.
They are now under the custody of Odiongan Municipal Police Station and will face charges for violation the Presidential Decree 1602.
