The local government unit of San Agustin has started to place quick response (QR) codes in all government establishments in their town to further enhance contact tracing of persons possibly exposed to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
According to the Rural Health Unit of San Agustin, they will use Staysafe.PH in compliance with the resolution released by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.
On Friday, RHU San Agustin has oriented representatives of different government agencies in their town for the implementation of the new guidelines.
These agencies include San Agustin Municipal Police Station, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, DTI Negosyo Center, Dep-Ed, Tablas District Hospital, and the office of the MLGOO.
Church representatives are also invited to the orientation.
LGU San Agustin said that that this will help veer away from the manual recording of the public’s information which may even cause possible transmission of the virus.
The public should download the Staysafe.PH app on their smartphones and scan the QR code placed at the entrance of the building they are visiting or they just have to present their QR ID to the security guard at the building.
