Following the confirmation of local transmission of Covid-19 in the town of Looc, the local government unit will start to implement a granular lockdown in some of its Sitios starting midnight of March 31.
The identified sitios are SIlagon, Lunas, Centro-Grande in Limon SUr; Sampaguita and Carolina in Poblacion; and Bagto in Guinhayaan.
On Tuesday evening, the LGU confirmed that they recorded an additional six new local Covid-19 cases. These are close-contacts of town’s first local case.
The lockdown will take effect until the local government finished identifying all the patients’ close-contacts.
The town mayor, Atty. Lisette Arboleda, also said that the LGU is temporarily closing down its Public Market to make way for mass testing on all vendors.
Mayor Arboleda assured the public that the government will distribute food packs to the residents affected by the lockdown.
