The province of Romblon is expecting to receive about 280 vials of Covid-19 vaccines developed by British-Swede pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca.
It was confirmed by the Department of Health in Mimaropa region on Saturday.
The vaccines against Covid-19 will arrive via RoRo early Sunday morning, March 14.
This set of vials from the national government are part of the first round of allocated doses from the Covax facility for the Philippines that arrived last March 4.
The Philippines is expected to receive at least 5.6 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech and AstraZeneca via the Covax facility within the first quarter of 2021.
Last week, about 750 dozes of Covid-19 vaccines from China’s Sinovac also arrived in Romblon.
The latter was used on the launching of Covid-19 vaccination roll-out in the province.
