The Philippine Air Force (PAF) deployed an aircraft on Wednesday, August 28, to assist in the ongoing search and retrieval operations for eight missing of passengers involve in a maritime accidents in the waters near Caluya Island, Antique.
The PAF helicopter was stationed at Caticlan Airport, on standby, waiting for favorable weather conditions to commence the mission.

To coordinate the search efforts, PAF personnel met with representatives from the Philippine Coast Guard, Malay Maritime Police, and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in Malay, Aklan.
