Center Director Pat Andrew Barrientos of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in MIMAROPA recently spearheaded the awarding of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools to three Farmers and Information Technology Services (FITS) Centers in Romblon.
The FITS Centers in Calatrava, San Agustin, and Romblon received various ICT equipment, including laptops, portable speakers, printers, projectors, cameras, and televisions.
These tools are expected to empower local farmers by providing them access to modern technology and information resources, thus enhancing their productivity and knowledge.
In his address, Director Barrientos expressed his deep appreciation to the FITS Centers for their dedication to implementing the Techno Gabay Program (TGP) in their respective localities.
“With the provided resources, you are expected to improve and intensify your delivery of the TGP services to your clients in the province,” he stated.
Additionally, Ms. Roseanne D. Nilo, Media Production Specialist II of ATI-MIMAROPA, provided a briefing to the enhanced FITS Centers on their responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of submitting monthly reports.
