Julie Monton, former mayor of Magdiwang, Romblon, has officially declared his candidacy for the governorship in the upcoming local elections in May.
In a report by newspaper outlet Romblon Sun, Monton plans to run as an independent candidate with a focus on improving Romblon’s tourism industry, aiming to create job opportunities for locals.
Monton also emphasized the importance of sustainable energy solutions and vowed to visit municipalities regularly to address local issues. He outlined programs promoting Romblon’s products, particularly its renowned marble, and plans to enhance healthcare services, especially for senior citizens.
