The management of Tablas Island Electric Cooperative, Inc. (TIELCO) has extended its deepest condolences to the family of lineman Andy Forcadas, who tragically died after being electrocuted while working on a power line on July 29 in Ferrol, Romblon.
In a statement posted on their Facebook page, TIELCO expressed, “Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt prayers go out to the bereaved family and friends of Andy Forcadas.”
“We honor and remember all the work and dedication of our fallen Warrior of Light,” TIELCO added.
“Linemen consistently take risks despite stringent safety measures, always facing the dangers inherent in their work. They brave all weather conditions to ensure our communities have power and light. A big salute to all the linemen who dedicate their lives to their work,” they continued.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Romblon News Network, TIELCO General Manager Dennis Alag assured that the cooperative will cover the wake and funeral expenses of the deceased lineman.
“We will extend all necessary support to the family,” Alag told RNN.
