A lineman from the Tablas Island Electric Cooperative (TIELCO) tragically died after being electrocuted and falling from an electric pole on Monday afternoon.
The victim, identified as 32-year-old Andy Forcadas, a resident of Barangay Dapawan, Odiongan, was responding to a power outage in Barangay Tubigon, Ferrol with his fellow linemen.

According to police reports, Forcadas and his team were attempting to repair a faulty insulator when he accidentally touched an active power line. The electric shock caused him to lose consciousness and fall from a height of approximately 15 to 20 feet.
His colleagues rushed Forcadas to the Romblon Provincial Hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
