50 farmers in the town of San Jose, Romblon receive indemnity checks ranging from PHP4,500 to PHP6,000 each from the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC).
According to the local government of San Jose, the financial assistance from PCIC will strengthen the livelihoods of the farmers and provide security for their crops with the support of the local government.
PCIC offers protection to farmers against the loss of their crops due to natural calamities, pests, plant diseases, and other risks.
