Nasa hometown ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Mayor Bañares para sa LMP National Executive Committee Meeting at Luzon Cluster Conference kung saan tumatayong Public Relations Officer ang alkalde.
Si Bañares rin ang presidente ng League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) dito sa probinsya ng Romblon.
