The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Romblon has recently completed a road opening project in the town of Ferrol, Romblon, enhancing local connectivity and economic opportunities.
The newly constructed road links Sitio Lupog in Barangay Poblacion to Barangay Tubigon, providing residents with improved access to essential services and markets.
According to DPWH MIMAROPA, the project aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s administration’s goal of enhancing infrastructure to drive local economic growth.
The 1.88-kilometer road features an aggregated base course, grouted riprap, stone masonry, 910mm diameter pipe culverts, and metal guardrails, ensuring durability and sustainability.
The DPWH emphasized that the new road will enhance mobility, making travel more convenient and boosting economic activities in the region.
