A fortunate bettor from Romblon has won the PHP17.5 million jackpot in Monday night’s Mega Lotto 6/45 draw.
In an advisory released on Tuesday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced that the winning combination of 36-25-19-37-07-11 carried a jackpot prize of PHP17,567,700.60. The winning ticket was purchased from an outlet on F. Zamora Street in the town of Odiongan.
Winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim their prize, as specified in Republic Act 1169, the law governing PCSO lotteries. All jackpot prizes must be claimed at the PCSO main office on Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City. Under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law, lotto winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax.
In addition to the jackpot winner, 40 other bettors won PHP32,000 each for guessing five of the six winning digits. Another 1,549 bettors will receive PHP1,000 each for four correct digits, while 23,895 bettors will get PHP30 each for three correct digits.
The 6/45 Mega Lotto draw is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles encouraged the public to continue supporting the agency’s gaming products to raise more revenues for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities.
