Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC) has announced its collaboration with Romblon State University (RSU) to offer Bachelor of Science programs in Social Work and Midwifery. This decision follows the signing of an agreement between the two institutions.
Under the agreement, OMSC will provide essential support and resources, including qualified professors, admission facilities, and program curriculum, to ensure the effective implementation of these programs at RSU. This partnership aims to enhance the academic offerings and opportunities available to students at RSU.
A source told RNN that in exchange for hosting the new programs in RSU’s Main campus in Odiongan, RSU will transfer its Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Bachelor of Public Administration to RSU San Agustin Campus.
The memorandum of agreement was formally signed by Dr. Elbert Edaniol, President of OMSC, and Dr. Merian Mani, President of RSU, at the Southern University of Northern Negros.
While the specific timeline for the rollout of the new courses at RSU is yet to be finalized, OMSC said the agreement signifies OMSC’s commitment to extend her services among other academic institutions within the country and abroad.
