Nais ng solusyunan ni Romblon Lone District Representative Jesus Madrona ang problema sa supply ng kuryente sa mga isla ng Simara, Banton at Sibale o Tres Islas sa lalawigan.
Kaugnay nito, naghain ng panukalang batas sa Kamara de Representates si Madrona na naglalayong mabigyan ng prangkisa ang Romblon Electric Cooperative Incorprated (ROMELCO) para makapag-construct, install, establish, at operate ng planta sa lugar.
Sa House Bill No. 3744 ay bibigyan ng prangkisa ng gobyerno ang ROMELCO upang makapagpatayo ng planta sa lugar.
“To ensure the continuous delivery of electric service of ROMELCO to the said island municipalities, ROMELCO seeks to fully integrate them with the franchise area of ROMELCO and for the member consumer-owners to be represented in the management,” pahayag ni Madrona.
