Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the stewardship of Police Brigadier General Sidney Sultan Hernia, arrested Occidental Mindoro’s Top 1 Most Wanted Person (MWP) in Bataan on Wednesday, September 7.
Occidental Mindoro Police Provincial Office Director, Police Colonel Jun Dexter Danao, disclosed that Roy Pamukol Sidoro a.k.a “Putot”, 37, who hails from Barangay San Francisco, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro, was arrested in Barangay Tucop, Dinalupihan, Bataan in a joint law enforcement operation led by personnel of Sablayan Municipal Police Station together with the elements from the Provincial Intelligence Unit, 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Companies of the Occidental Mindoro PPO; Provincial Intelligence Team Occidental Mindoro under the Regional Intelligence Unit 4B; and 405th Maneuver Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 4B.
“Putot”, who is also listed as the Top 1 Municipal-level MWP of Sablayan town and Top 6 Regional-level MWP of MIMAROPA, has a pending warrant of arrest (WOA) dated August 5, 2022 and issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 45 in San Jose Occidental Mindoro for the crimes of Murder, with no bail recommended, and Frustrated Homicide, with recommended bail amounting to Php72,000.00.
The arrested accused is now under police custody and will be turned over to the issuing court as soon as possible.
The data from the Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division disclosed that PRO MIMAROPA had already recorded 383 apprehensions of MWP since January this year; a 34.86 percent increase from the 284 MWP arrested in the same period last year.
“I commend the operating units for another successful law enforcement operation. This only reflects our commitment in pursuing criminal personalities wanted by law. I also thank the public who provided vital information leading to the arrest of said wanted person”, PBGen Hernia said in a press release.
