I Can Walk by Faith, a video documentation of Hand made by Che livelihood grant won the Best Assisted Individual Livelihood during the 2021 MIMAROPA Kabuhayan Awards.
Cheryl “Che” Formilleza, a differently abled single mother, also a contributor to the Romblon News Network (RNN), granted by the Department of Labor and Employment with Crochet Materials last December 18, 2020 won the DOLE’s yearly recognition of the best assisted projects in MIMAROPA region.
Mr. Carlo B. Villaflores, Provincial Director of the DOLE Romblon Field Office awarded Ms. Formilleza, a plaque and a check amounting to P30, 000.00.
“I am very blessed that I was chosen to represent Romblon and be able to win an award from DOLE. You did not only give me capital for my crochet business but an overwhelming joy and confidence that I can make it despite my disabilities. The prize I received will be my additional capital,” a message from Che Formilleza.
“I am very grateful to Sir Carl and the whole DOLE for giving me hope and strength to face the pandemic and continue my business by faith. I pray that DOLE will continue to help differently abled persons like me, I may not be able to walk literally but by faith my products will reach the world. God bless DOLE”, she added.
