There were at least 28 local government units (LGUs) from Mimaropa which expressed interest in adopting the DICT Vaccination Adminstration System (DVAS), the Department of Information and Communications Technology – Luzon Cluster 3 reported recently.
At the latest RTF Covid 19 Mimaropa Meeting, these LGUs have submitted their Letters of Interest to the DICT Luzon Cluster 3 and now subject for further assessment.
Edd Fernan Gonzales of DICT Luzon Cluster 3 said eight LGUs are now have gone Live (Go live status), a step before the Hand-over (turn-over of the technology): two in Occidental Mindoro, three in Marinduque, five in Romblon and two in Palawan.
LGUs under Go Live mode are now handling DVAS on their own but under the guidance of DICT L-3 and their partners.
“DVAS is a free software that would help LGUs cut down the vaccination processing time,” said DICT L – 3 Regional Director Cheryl Ortega in previous webinars on DVAS.
DVAS have five stages: 1. Record Verification; 2. Vital Sign Entry; 3. Consent Taking/Health Screening; 4. Inoculation; and 5. Post Vaccination Monitoring.
For every stage, data is being uploaded.
DICT L-3 trainor Edd Fernan Gonzales said vaccinees will not need to fill out forms as information is dictated to the encoder.
What used to last to an hour or more, the process from the first to the last stage can be completed in 20 minutes, Gonzales said. (Lyndon Plantilla/PIA Mimaropa)
