Opisyal ng umupo at nanumpa sa kanilang pwesto ang mga bagong opisyal ng Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Romblon Chapter nitong March 28, 2019 sa ginanap na 17th National Convention of Lawyers sa Iloilo Convention Center.
Pinangungunahan ang mga bagong opisyal ni IBP Romblon Chapter President at Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) lawyer na si Atty. Rebecca Morada Firmalo.
Ang nasabing oath taking ceremony ay pinangasiwaan ni Chief Justice Lucas P. Bersamin at dinaluhan ng aabot sa halos 3,000 lawyers mula sa iba’t ibang dako ng bansa.
“The new set of officers of the Romblon Chapter aims to foster unity and camaraderie among its members in spite of diverse political affiliations and personal circumstances. As you can see, there are lawyers who come from opposing political groups in Romblon but we agreed to avoid political discussions during the convention,” ayon kay Atty. Firmalo ng makausap ng Romblon News Network.
“I am hoping that this will be an indication of the days to come and the lawyers in Romblon can, in unity, be able to provide relevant services to the community,” dagdag ni Firmalo.
Ang Integrated Bar of the Philippines ay ang opisyal na organisasyon ng mga abogado sa buong bansa kung saan nakasulat ang kanilang pangalan sa Roll of Attorneys ng Supreme Court.
SInabi rin ni Firmalo na ang mga mamayaman ng Romblon na kailangan ang serbisyo ng IBP Romblon Chapter ay maaring lumapit sa kanilang opisina sa ground floor ng Hall of Justice sa Odiongan o di kaya ay tumawag sa kanilang landline number: (042) 567-6303.
