Last September 16, 2016 was a “red-lettered” day for the Department of Education-Romblon as they celebrate another achievement of having a new Officer-In-Charge of the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent by the person of Mr. Rufino B. Foz.
Mr. Rufino B. Foz is currently the Education Program Supervisor for Alternative Learning System. He is one of the proponents of the project “Abot-Alam” – a training program focusing on entrepreneurship skills development. The “Abot-Alam” project aimed to provide entrepreneurship and/or business opportunities to those who want to earn a living despite the lack of college education or an additional financial assistance to those who are still in college. His colleagues describe him as a credible leader, a very enthusiastic person and a man of integrity. These values and work ethics landed him to his new designation- the Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent.
He was formally installed in office by the Assistant Regional Director for Region IV MIMAROPA, Mr. Danilo E. Despi. A message of thanks and acceptance was delivered after by the newly installed ASDS, Mr. Rufino Foz. In his short message, he highlighted how elated and humbled he is in this new chapter of his career. He wishes for everyone’s cooperation for the betterment of the DepEd Division of Romblon. The installation ceremony was attended by Hon. Emmanuel Madrona, Vice-Governor Jose Riano, SP Members, eight Municipal Mayors, LGU-Romblon Officials and the Barangay Captains of the Municipality of Romblon. The ceremony was held at the Schools Division Office, Conference Hall.
The installation of Mr. Rufino Foz as the new Assistant Schools Division Superintendent implies an additional responsibility for his part but for the SDO-Romblon, he is ad added hand-in-action to realize the vision of the Department of Education. The DepEd Division of Romblon assured him that the whole office is at his back all through the way.
